Memories

The best holiday memories are classic not trendy. They are not mass produced. They're built on experiences, not stuff. We carry them throughout our life, and we can learn from them in ways that make us better versions of ourselves.

According to author Jean Shepherd,

“Americans measure their lives by holidays: Christmas, Easter, birthdays, Thanksgiving,

The 4th of July…like mileposts in the picket fence of the years

that stretch on and on and on through our lives.

But those holidays when you are young are the sweetest of all.

You remember them forever.” 1

As you may have noticed, the Christmas season has begun. Let's go make some sweet and lasting memories!

1 The Great American Fourth of July And Other Disasters by Jean Shepherd, Episode aired on American Playhouse, March 16, 1982
