Greener Grass

So, here is a familiar question: Where is the grass greener? Of course, an old adage tries to convince us that it is always greener on the “other side" of the fence. The problem with that philosophy is thinking we can find happiness by coveting and pursuing the things we don’t have. No matter how many times we get to the “other side,” we will eventually come to another “fence.”

But I recently heard a different perspective on green grass. The saying went like this: The grass is always greener where it is watered. The "water" comes from our gratitude for what we do have. Gratitude is expressed through generosity and produces true peace and joy.

As we come into this season of gratitude and generosity, look for and celebrate the good in your life. It is amazing how green the grass around us becomes when we water it with an attitude of gratitude and generosity! And if you are looking for a fun family Christmas tradition that teaches and supports your values and holiday activities rather than imposing more work on an already busy schedule, check out our Message to Parents on the Snowpixie website. We are grateful for you! Have a happy and blessed Thanksgiving!
