What does Christmas look like?
Does that question gather shimmering images of twinkling lights, sparkling decorations, brightly wrapped gifts? What about visions of shopping lists, crowds, parties, and overbooked schedules? Or perhaps it is as Bing Crosby crooned, "the prettiest sight you'll see is the holly that will be on your own front door."
Based on experience, I would say all those things can find their way into our lives in this season. But we can’t allow those things to define or control our celebration of Christmas.
The things about Christmas that I treasure are the experiences and expressions of love, generosity, joy, and hope. Being surrounded by loved ones. Giving of ourselves to others. Being intentional in our time with family. The innocent joy in the smile of a child. The hope that these things will shape sweet memories that we can carry through life.
That is the “look” the SnowPixies can help bring into focus. They are a simple and fun way to enhance the spirit of Christmas by being family oriented, positive, interactive, outwardly directed and a source of lasting sweet memories.
Yes, Christmas is coming. And with it is the precious reminder that through the humility of a helpless infant God delivered his indescribable gift to us. An everlasting present wrapped in love and hope.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Let’s celebrate!
